Here's an example of what being an independent creative means.

I was put in touch with Atlantis The Palm through an agency in Dubai, initially writing some local press ads for them.

During the process I met the client a few times and they asked me whether I was interested in writing some short films.

Some became 20.

My idea was to show Atlantis being discovered by four different children.

They then asked me to produce them.

I put together a very small team – director Paul Kenward, cameraman, editor and a PA.

Between us we planned, cast, shot, cut and did the post on 20 short films in a month at a total cost of around 100k or about what they'd normally pay for a single 30 second tv commercial.

Result? A very happy client, millions of YouTube views and a load of new visitors to Atlantis.
